A few of my favorite Fall locations

The busiest season is right around the corner and with it comes crisp air and beautiful foliage. Let’s talk about some of my favorite Fall locations so you can pick the best one for your session. As you know, location plus styling makes for images that you’ll treasure forever.

Green Spring Gardens

This not-so-hidden gem is full of amazing plants almost all year round. The variety of color and texture you get for your photos here is stunning. They have Master Gardeners plus tons of volunteers and all their effort shows. Early summer until the end of Fall are my favorite times to have sessions here. This location is gorgeous from summer until the end of Fall.

Old Town Alexandria

Catch this spot at the right time (hint: not a Saturday evening) and it’s a winner in my book. Of all my Fall locations, this one provides a perfectly quaint, city setting that can’t be beat. You never know what cute doorstep you’ll find or tree changing color around the corner and that’s half the fun of it!

Creek location

Can you just imagine this spot in the Fall? Well, you’re going to have to because this past Summer was my first time doing a creek session and I loved it! I can’t wait to go back when the leaves are turning and more light can pour through the trees. I’m itching to go back, so maybe you’ll be the first family to have a Fall session here?!

Finding the right spot for your family is key to the success of your session. When suggesting locations, I consider many things like time of year, age of your kids, ease of access to the spot, etc. The location plus styling and the right photographer for you all play a part in getting images you’ll love.
