DC Family Photographer – Green Spring Gardens

As a DC family photographer I often use Green Spring Gardens. This location is filled with blooms from April-November due to the work of volunteers and plant experts. The park has 2 ponds, a native plant garden, a greenhouse, a plant shop, a historic house, and a horticulture reference library. If your family is wanting for a lovely location for your next photo session in DC then look no further.

This family did a great job selecting outfits that balanced nicely against the strong greens of Spring. The mix and variety of textures and blues make them pop against the background and aren’t matching too much. The shades of blue also work well with the yellow flowers.

As always, I choose to hold my sessions at Golden Hour which provides the best lighting. The flattering light plus the sunset glow really adds to the flowers and foliage at Green Spring Gardens. This family was cheery and low-key which helped everyone have a good time and feel relaxed during the session.
