Lush garden

This is the best spot if you like a more formal garden setting. Full of lush flowers, impressive trees, and a pond, this is number 1 of my Top 5 Senior session locations. There are a few garden locations in Northern Virginia but this one boasts long hours they are open which allows me to capture the exact right time at Golden Hour.

Open Field

If you prefer wide angle landscape shots and wild grasses then this is the spot for you. I love this location for its lack of crowds and extended Golden Hour light. Have a child who tends to be more shy? This is a great choice so they have no onlookers and can be themselves. Did I mention it’s great if you want to bring a dog too?

Garage Rooftop

Bold lines create definition and a modern flair to these portrait sessions. I love the open sky, twinkling bokeh lights, and bright colors. If your Senior is looking for something quiet then this is a great choice. My only garage rooftop location for the Top 5 Senior Session locations and one of my favorites!

Georgetown

Looking for spunky backdrops? I never know what we will find while walking the streets of Georgetown but it never disappoints. It’s not the same old-building feels that you get from Old Town Alexandria because of the bridge and art alleyway. I love the vibes of this city. Your Senior must be okay with onlookers as there are always crowds!

Jefferson Memorial

Last but not least in the Top 5 Senior Session Locations and the only one in DC… the Jefferson Memorial! It provides a lovely, bright backdrop and the sunrise coming up over the water. You can get background views of downtown, MLK Memorial, and Rossyln. Nothing says DC more than a marble monument and I prefer this one over all the others.
